Come Back Poem by Ivy Christou

Come Back

Rating: 5.0

So it flies and it flies away,
Maybe for now or forever,
Disappearing in the unreachable mist.

Come back, come back
Don’t leave..
how can you leave me like this?

I spoke soft words to the wind,
Plead for a tender touch and a kiss,
I tried immensely, I wish it could be seen.

Come back, come back
Don’t leave..
Can you not hear my cries in the breeze?

Waves dancing back and forth,
Like you and me in those days of bliss,
Nothing could disturb the calmness of the sea..

Come back, come back
Don’t leave..
You are taking love away from me…

The colors and emotions are alive! I read and re-read it.

I loved your poem. Will you come back to rate my poems, too? You are a remarkable spirit. Bravo!

Whenever you can feel the same lonliness in a poem, as the writer's lonliness in writing it...this is definitely a poem, a good one, indeed! ! xxElysabeth
