Compensation
- - - - - - - - - - -
He lies like a cucumber
In a orchard
Away at early morn
Like a fortune hunter
Seeks modest fare
No idle and vain life
Nor one of useless
Toil and strife

Active and industrious
But not clever like another, who
Is not unconvincing
Rather more of a talker
One day he scarcely knew
That his master visited there
On seeing the person
He started praising master's person
Flattering him and his looks
Forgetting his work and mission

The not-so witty and not-so clever
Said nothing but gathered
All the fruits and all the flowers
That he produced
Through his silent labour
And placed them
In the hands of his master

It is not the talker
Who produces the most
It is the-he cool and quiet
Who brings the greatest
Amount of blessing
Although he asks nothing
He receives everything
Whether we care for the fruit or not
It will come to us when we deserve it…..

Fantastic lines..... He receives everything Whether we care for the fruit or not It will come to us when we deserve it….. Very few believe in this competitive world, no one wait for fruit to come to them, in fact they snatch it. fruits are benefited by someone who doesn't deserve to have it. Beautiful poem. Loved reading it.

A laudable law of life is here eloquently expressed!

Empty vessels often make a lot of noice! But the silent quietly serve! In the end he is rewarded for his toil and sweat! A great write Deepak! But as Salini has said, I wonder if real merit is taken note of these days! People who make a show now a days conquer success!
