Completely Improvised. Poem by Sandra Feldman

Completely Improvised.

Rating: 5.0

Curiously different,
A type of orchestrated
Fantasy,
When we read Poetry
Do we also come to meet
And know,
The Poet's personality?
Who and what they are,
Are they sincere, original
And truly invested?
Or are they just following
A certain motivation,
Called inspiration?

Hard to tell
For each Poet
Has a seal of fascination,
All their own
Where They, Themselves,
Do encounter
Mysteries of many kinds
Not always having,
Easy navigation,
Nor quite coherent,
Explanation
And maybe that is
Part of the secret
Attraction, that Poetry
Has, helping it traverse
So many centuries,
Vibrantly alive
And full of this
Inexplicable magic,
Called, inspiration
That really makes it
Survive.

How true are the words of this lovely poem! I love how you describe inspiration as magical, because that's what it is. And each poet truly is fascinating, as you say.5 stars
