Controlled By Threats Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Controlled By Threats

There are those who live to be,
Controlled by threats.
Those shallow of souls.
And thoughts without depth.

So easy it has become,
To pull the wool over dazed eyes
Already half closed.
And living lives not to recognize,
They've been noodled up to be used,
In a kettle of soup.
Flavored by fools seasoned with dupe.

Controlled by threats.
With this to allow,
By those showing they have far less...
Than a backbone and a spine,
To find between them shared.

And these are the ones people chose,
To represent their best interests.
With an improving of their quality of life.
Done to alienate many into accepting,
Being set up for civil unrest.
Limited freedoms.
Worshipping receivers,
That had led them to believe...
Their quality of life had been threatened,
By terrorists and enemies.
While the economy may do a back flip and crash.
If the people do not choose to follow,
Demons evil into the pits of hell.

Where all will be seated and treated,
From a kettle a bowl of soup.
Prepared and promised to be delicious.
Since flavored by fools seasoned with dupe.
