Power roots in his mind.
Power blooms in his heart.
Power branches from his hands.
Dictator tears the world apart.

In 4 succinct lines, you have so brilliantly summed up authoritarianism. And for some of them to have the gall to compare themselves to Jesus is beyond comprehension!

their sinful hearts have corrupted their God given power. And in the end, they pull the world down on themselves and everyone else. It is so sad that there are people of this kind.

Excellently penned! Thank you for sharing this Rose Marie! You brilliantly sum up the description of any tyrant, whether they steer the fate of a world, country, or family...

I like your creative use of Old Latin words for titles recently!

I absolutely love the imagery in this poem and I love the rhyme you put in it, whether it was intentional or not! This write bears so much unfortunate truth in it's words! Thank you for sharing it!
