Dancing Queen Poem by Tom Billsborough

Dancing Queen

Rating: 2.3

Dance halls were our Dilly's treat
But sadly she had two left feet
As she approached the Bar
Her casualties of War
Cried out as one: Let's hop it!

With Wes's help I'm submitting an improved version later. The sense is still the same though Perhaps there should be a sequel as the lads hop off into the Cloakroom or safer still the Gents? If anyone wants to have a go, feel free! I was once told I was a natural dancer by a ballet teacher. Mind you she did work for me part-time! so maybe a bit biased!

Actually I used retreat in my original version. It is a full rhyme. I'll put it before the Board and consider adapting it to your version! I just thought hop it suggested men on crutches, as it were.
