Darkened Thinking Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Darkened Thinking

Patterns of footholds climb and scale mountainous
trailways up sides of cliffs, fearful of avalanches
with every step and handhold.
Staring into caverns and niches of darkened idle
thinking, penetrating walls of forsaken freedom on
tomorrow's romantic search.
