Dead Dreams Poem by Aqua Flower

Dead Dreams

Rating: 5.0

I stand frozen in time
my eyes watch as life continues
I hear nothing but muffled sounds
I am a prisoner in my own mind
visions played before me like a silent video
but I hear a faint sigh
a weeping child nearby
Where is my dream?
my thoughts are not still
they seem to be running a marathon
and I wonder how I will go on
knowing that my dreams are dead and gone

Depression can own you. I feel there are many different levels of it. Some people can get out of it, some people get trapped and hard to snap out of it. Life can get to you sometimes. I've learned that dreams and hope give way to brighter paths! Thanks for acknowledging this poem.
