Dear Brethren / Tell Her This - Poem by Lartin Konneh II

Dear Brethren / Tell Her This

Dear Brethren...
God is the witness to what we are...
And man is the judge to what we do only on earth...
Dear Brethren...
Life is what we make of it...
If only we can make it...
So Take many pictures...
Laugh too much...
Because every sixty second we lived...
is a minute of happiness we can never get back...
Dear Brethren, tell her this...
Colors is what we are?
The weapons of truth is our voices.
let’s speak clearly to a generation to come.
Tell her this
A man is guilty only when he is proud.
Proud to be who we are?
Are we guilty?
Dear Brethren
The tongues of mighty is words.
Yesterday we ignored to speak the truth meaning of racism.
And lost many friends alone the way.
Today We the last one remain.
Tell them this
In this world of colors there is no such thing as hero but God.
Above all else the good people is our heroes.
Dear brethren
Tell her this
We’re strangers to this world.
