Death Poem by Elena Sandu

Death

We all have to die,
most of the people
are quite scared of it
but some may find it
sweeter than a pie..
I wonder what could
make the difference, why?
A humble guess I try:
..Might be..'The pain? ! '
As maybe for a life
swimming in pain
death is a welcoming friend
with smiles and open arms
We wait(*_*)
But when we're happy
with no problems
we run away
trying to shut all gates
then death shall be..
Quite scary? ? (=_=)

Somebody once said that one should rather be more afraid of being born than dying! I foirget the writer.

Death is dreadful. let us keep it outside and lead our beautiful life daringly, smiling at every challenge we come across in our life. Life is precious and the beginning but death is the ultimate part of a living organism.Love life, save life!

Well, death might be the gate for another world even happier. ^v^ Sharing mine: Death Will I keep thinking and being after I die Or think nothing after my last feeble sigh? Please just read my poems and smile at the sky After my brains are no more mine and my mind free to fly. Will I keep feeling and being after I die Or feel nothing after that last feeble light? Please just play my music during those special nights After my fingers are no more and my songs still hold you tight.

I think the composition is nice. I am not so sure about death. I am thinking it is not only a question of pain or happiness. I think it is more a question on how we have lived. Have we used our talents optimally to contribute something to this world? if the answer is a definite yes, I think people tend to be a bit less afraid of death. If it is a definite no, I think the fear of death is much worse. Death is still a mystery and what we experience in these last moments even, fear and anguish or just plain peace of mind, we may not know until we are there. A very thought provoking poem, Elena, well done.
