The old man is a gallant fighter,
Still there's fuel in his years old lighter,
He is no less greater than the great Alexander,
His army is lead by vigorous thunder,
He can melt icy rivers and frozen lakes,
He has an Allie who helps and shakes,
Who helps the fighter with covering fires,
And old man advances to fulfill his desires,
So he has declared a war, against the winter,
And with a love poem still runs the splinter.
Declaration Of War Against Winter - a very eye catching title.. and the poem showed a realistic part of life in an extraordinary way. Great work sir!
The idea of arresting winter chill with a poem is promising! That is what we do in the winter of our life..... Even woolen outfits cannot grant that much warmth! Enjoyed the poem!
Wow, for every old man winter is troublesome, especially the old wounds, the cracked bones and over used teeths trouble him.....Thought provoking poem, Janab....10
very nice piece of work.............you have done a great comparison....yes the old man............as imagined by you......is like a gutsy fighter who is in a war with the winter.............a new type of comparison...........greatly enjoyed it.
The winter of our years does not have to win without a fight. Thanks, Akhtar
