Desert Trip Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Desert Trip

Rating: 5.0

Let me put you on a wild horse
Bareback and free
And let me lead you to an oasis
To drink the water
As if it were wine
We'll make love under
The darkened night sky
With the glow of a campfire
Giving us warmth
And then we'll sleep in the open
With our bodies entwined
And wake up with the desert sun
As it rises in the blue sky
Then we will head back for breakfast
Because our hunger is more than love

The last line is the icing on the cake, its a country love song, without the heartbreak. The poem is a cinematic in imagery.
