Diary Poem by Anne Yun

Diary

Rating: 4.0

I loved you today,
i remember the moment,
shadows of the leaves paused,
then the wind slided by,
their whispers tickled my heart,
i could not hide but laugh and love.

You can not see my face of loving,
you can not hear my voice of laughing,
i can not seal my swelling feeling.

That's the end of this diary.

Two days earlier you addressed the issue that makes a novel unique: SOMEONE MUST DIE and turned a literary commonplace into a moral crisis. Here you take the DIARY FORM and consider its key components. You suggest two things: the intimacy of a diary, and using it to test possible futures. Obviously you're not ready to reveal your feelings to this man, but you allow yourself to daydream possibilities in the secrecy of your diary. You enhance the value of a diary by treating it as a record of RITES OF PASSAGE. I like this pair of poems because of your creative writing about the possibilities of the Imagination in helping you understand yourself and thr world

Wonderful poem with a really well composed first stanza. Diaries are always home to the best kept secrets.
