Different Sides Of Love - Poem by Marie Glass
A boy met a girl on his way to town
Seeing her made his mind swim around,
Never did he feel like this before then
He wondered, is this the feeling of men?
She smiled sweetly a he passed her by
Because of a lump she could not say hi,
Learning that day that the eyes tell all
Putting out that day a definite call.
Sweetness and love come in so many ways
A kind word or acts to anyone these days,
Can lift the heart and make the day bright
We have it in us to help others to fight.
There are days that life don’t seem alive
And fighting to live or just survive,
Is hard and meaningless without a smile
That’s all it takes to make life worthwhile.
So this young boy who seen this sweet girl
You know the one, it made his head whirl,
Is soon to learn, love comes in many ways
And genuine caring is the kind that stays.
Do we care for others so much that we share
This part of us that admits that we care,
Can we show love in one way or another
That brightens the life of a sister or brother?
