Disappear From View Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Disappear From View

I unraveled the belt from your dress
& put you to my lips.
It was a must that I found you.
I've loved you like this many times
before.
Many times misplacing my selfish
need for yours.
I've bummed minutes & seconds, even hours.
Patiently awaiting your arrival.
The fleshly eruption of when I press you to my lips
& inhale.
You'll never understand how good you feel
between my fingers.
How you take my pain and make it yours,
whenever you are this close to me
I am at ease.
There isn't a single thing that I cannot do,
the way you fall like embers through the night
the same way that stars do,
before they disappear from view.
I've loved you like this many times before
Most times long winded, anytime, anywhere
Never thinking the long term consequence,
and how I can't stop reaching for your pouch
