Don't Look Back Poem by Dave Alan Walker

Don't Look Back

Rating: 5.0

Strange shadows
following me as I walk alone
no one for miles
but me and my thoughts

Are these shadows my past
that I must shed
are they trying to tell me
that I need to lay them to rest

Or are they trying to tell me
to stop looking back
and live my life

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Sometimes in life we see and hear things
that we should never have to. Sometimes
we can not help but think about what we saw
or heard in the past, but at some point we have
to try and let go.

The last verse said it all Dave, keep walking on, there may be a rainbow further down the road.

We have to forget the bitter and painful experiences of the past... Never let them follow us like shadows! Those who forget the past and look ahead into the future alone can prosper in life... A great write with a great message!
