Don't Stop To Edit Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Don't Stop To Edit

Rating: 5.0

Start writing
And don't stop
Keep writing
And writing
And writing
'til you've had enough
And then keep writing
And writing so damn more
Until there's no more
And keep going and going
Because you got so much more

Now Bukowski would really be proud, Richard. Just keep writing. If it's inside, it'll find the light. If it isn't there, you can't squeeze life from a rock. So you want to be a writer...You're there, Richard. Great poem.

Previously, you mentioned Dylan! And now Bukowski! I must be doing something right! And now, if I can only get a lot more exposure! That would really make my day! Year! Life! M.J., you really know how to boost poets' morale! Thank you so much for the continued support and encouragement! So Greatly Appreciated! ! !

Your poem expresses the raw energy of creativity; you are committed to releasing ALL of it, without favoritism or interruption. Three times in this brief poem you go beyond the limit and push yourself deeper. Honestly there is something heroic in the way you refuse to give in or give up until ALL if your creative potential has been activated. It's both an exhaustive exercise in creativity and an exhausting one- but you have delved way past the superficial to the bedrock of possibilities. Now you can do the ordinary stuff like editing and revision, or not. You may want to present to the yet unknowing world this primal discovery. You have earned the eight to choose what you do next.

Daniel, thank you for reading and commenting. Your comments mean a whole lot to me. This poem started off as a spontaneous exercise in writing with suspension of thought. I had so thoroughly enjoyed the raw energy that I choose to present this primal discovery. Once again, thank you so very much for your constructive criticism.
