Dream (C) 12-5-09 Poem by Zahir Kijani

Dream (C) 12-5-09

Clouds surround the sky as we bounce on them
So comfortable your arms truly feel around me as we soar through the sky
Breathing in as the mist fogs our thoughts dim
They scatter in us and in our brains we can hear each other as we're jumping by
A land forms the ground made of grahams crackers
Trees with chocolate branches and leaves made from sour taffy and licorice
Blue rasberry sea, rocks are BK Stackers
Twigs tasting like Reese's pieces and instead of bees, a swarm of snicker bits

The road is filled with the finest diamonds
Ruby Emerald and Sapphire stones together designed as they're one gem
Pearls make their way to land when the tides in
I know that I can say I love her and she will forever say I love him

"Extraordinary it is", my mind deems
Knowing that I'm without you just make me sad to be
I was once told a dream is but a dream
But it pains me to have awaken from one I long to be reality
