Dreaming Poem by Tom Billsborough

Dreaming

Rating: 5.0

Une dame dans une robe rouge
Se tient près de la fenêtre,
Tenant un verre de vin rouge,
Admirant le coucher du soleil rouge.
être ou ne pas être
Dans cette salle bondée
Ou là-bas avec ses rêves?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Ages since I wrote in French; It translates as follows:
A Lady in a red dress stands close to the window, holding a glass of red wine, admiring the red sunset. To be or not to be here in this crowded room or out there with her dreams?

Like Pyscho's Mum I sometimes go a bit mad and start babbling in French! I'm teaching Mr P. I think he understands two words... Canard for duck and Dinde for Turkey. Or maybe he's conning me as he's probably sniffed the packets!

How beautiful, I'm so glad you translated it, as it is well worth it. Annette.

Sometimes you get moments, even at the best parties, of wanting to be alone. I think the image came from a memory long ago. It's a bit since I've written in French but it makes a change. Glad you liked it. Thanks for your comments, Annette.
