Dreams Of Greatness Poem by Eila Mahima Jaipaul

Dreams Of Greatness

Rating: 5.0

we've all had great hallucinations of ourselves
in our secret lives
resolving to never let those dreams be surmised.
standing alone
the precious portraits of our other-selves
hide themselves
in case the thief that is life
should chance by and steal
our paintings of greatness.
