Drift

Chemo's through,
Onto bone marrow.
The odds are horrible,
But there are no more options.

No options axcept to Drift,
Drift to a place where there is no pain,
No hurt or sadness.
Drift into a daze,
Where nothing bad will ever happen.

No brother or sister to help,
Just a stranger from a foreign land.
I need more surgery,
So they put me under.

I Drift,
Drift to a place where there is no pain,
No hurt or sadness.
Drift into a daze,
Where nothing bad will ever happen.

My brain is invaded by a tumor,
And it is developing rapidly.
The doctors had said I had a few months to live,
But now it's a maximum of days!

All that's left to do is Drift,
Drift to a place where there is no pain,
No hurt or sadness.
Drift into a daze,
Where nothing bad will ever happen.

I am stuck in this hospital bed,
I'm in it for this upcoming week.
This week will be a week of hell.
But after this week.......

I will Drift to a place where there is no pain,
No hurt or sadness.
Drift into a daze,
Where nothing bad will ever happen.

But for right now,
I'm bearing the worse pain imaginable.
I'm throwing up constantly,
I have lost ALL of my hair.

I wish to Drift
Drift to a place where there is no pain,
No hurt or sadness.
Drift into a daze,
Where nothing bad will ever happen.

As this week went by I got weaker,
And I began to lose my strength.
My hair never came back,
And the vomiting never ceased.
My face looked as plump as a tomato,

But I have Drifted.
There's now no pain,
There is no hurt or sadness.
I have Drifted into a daze,
And now I know nothing bad will ever happen.
