Dukh (Sorrows)a Lucille Clifton Poem In Hindi/Urdu Translation

kis ko vishwash hoga k en k paankh hotay hain
kis ko vishwash hoga k ye kitnay khobsoorat hotay hain

k hum mortals k saath vo pyaar karnay lagtay hain
aur hamari chamDi par scar banay rehtay hain

kabhi hum unko swapnoN main suntay hain
apni khopDian khopDion se taktraty hain

apni unglioN ki haddian se
chutkiaN bajatay hain

unhoN ne mujhe farmaish kartay suna tha
jab main ne joDay haathon fusfasaya tha:

cHoD do ab mujhe, kafi peecHay paDay ho
lakin kaun sun sakta hai dukh ki awaaz

hazaaroN khawaish ki awazoN main

Sorrows

Lucille Clifton

who would believe them winged
who would believe they could be

beautifulwho would believe
they could fall so in love with mortals

that they would attach themselves
as scars attach and ride the skin

sometimes we hear them in our dreams
rattling their skullsclicking

their bony fingers
they have heard me beseeching

as i whispered into my own
cupped handsenoughnot me again

but who can distinguish
one human voice

amid such choruses
of desire
