Dumb Potholes Know Not… Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Dumb Potholes Know Not…

Dumb potholes know not even a quart,
My cities ever race to be smart.
In gloating over stars
They care for feet, nor cars.
Style, not stuff, is today's modern art.

During all my working life across cities and even later, it has been the same story— same shabby civil work and pot-holed roads, a common scene everywhere.

THANKS FOR YOUR LOVELY COMMENTS The day poets forget about that Treasure Island, that list of 500 and whatever other lists, I think it would be better for him. A poet's job is to pen poems, count NOT..... the rewards nor gems. THANKS AP
