Gandhi is an institution and to feel him one requires a pious outlook as well. To trace flips in Gandhi is not wrong but we cannot afford to smash that idol for reasons historic not historical. Your poem has its own perceptive quality though some of us refuse to learn anthing from it, Chowlaji.

Yes, in declining old age, adolescent desires when let loose, shows only depravity of mind! People should grow with age and each stage of life expects a certain code of conduct! Brief, but so pithy!

Dinesh ji, believe me I have no intention of teaching anything to anybody. I have only expressed my own feelings based on my perceptions and understanding and that what probably all of us do despite our claims to being objective. I am a simple human given to my own weaknesses and carry no pretensions to being saintly. If idol is crumbling it is because of its own material. Howsoever the pedestal of faith and reverence over which I had placed my idol has crashed because of the jolts that it was subjected to. It is curious that on one hand the then prevalent institution of 'Sati' was banished but of using women as a material for man's gratification remained enshrined in our behaviour.. I am not a so called feminist, but I strongly feel the unjust treatment meted out to women whether by Lord Rama, who forsake Sita, his wife or..............
