Elusive Silhouette Poem by Sandra Feldman

Elusive Silhouette

Rating: 5.0

I'm enamored with a shadow,
Someone I've never met,
Someone who taunts me night and day,
A most elusive, silhouette.

I dream in spaces narrow,
Trying to visualize,
What this Being is really like
And if ever we'll coincide.

But the Shadow escapes me,
As soon as the sun does set,
And all I have left
In the silent night,
Are the empty dreams
My lonely heart projects.

This is a beautiful poem. Part of the reason I love it is because it is well-crafted, but really because there are so many ways a reader can interpret the meaning. A search for love of self of another of memory of humankind...all the elusive cloak of the dreaming mind. We know that the truth is there, but its just out of grasp.

I dream in spaces narrow and now try to visualize. The shadows escape. Empty dreams project in life. Dreams are unknown and illusion captures them. But having real dream about God is great. Illusion leaves its way. Excellent poem is well penned.10
