Emerald eyes that shattered me
from my heart to the veins of my soul
Raging tides and volcanos from beyond
could not even come close to the emotion
that came with the first look of those emerald
eyes gazing upon me
From afar I could feel the intensity
building just knowing the emerald eyes
were glazing into my weaken soul
Amazing how only a single pair of emerald eyes
could possibly cause this burning fire within me
I wonder still why did you have to have the emerald
eyes, could or would it have been the same my love
Just a question as everything started and ended with
the look of those Emerald Eyes
Bonnie, The eyes are the window to the soul... you write with such meaningful precision and thought. Lovely, simply lovely! Robert
My wife has those emerald eyes, her beauty she must know! for she cannot disguise! they light up my life, they melt my heart, .she knows just a glance will tear me apart in firelight, reflections of a woman in love, in moonlight, her eyes I see heaven above what grandly aspersions that treat my heart, one day my love our eyes they must part
When i read this i think about a oldie rap song Bonnie! Keep up the good work.10 out of 10 Ashley
Stunning imagework, Bonnie.I like the variable stanzaec structure you employ, in identifying your choice to modify the tone of the poem, and tap a different, yet applicable avenue of the onset storylines tone & course.Very nice work! ~ FjR ~ ..2008..
Bonnie, your first six lines say all you need, strongly and poetically. The rest of the poem is redundant, in my opinion. Passionate writing nonetheless. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

this is a true poem on the level of Ashram Ayres or Charles Bukowski.... asks one of those questions that can't really be answered.... lovely KS
