Escaping Time Poem by Sandra Feldman

Escaping Time

Rating: 5.0

Relentlessly, Time slips away,
Today turns into yesterday,
'I still have time',
Don't be too sure,
What is today will not endure,
The ticking, tocking of the clock,
That steals our lives,
Our fleeting Present,
Won't come back.

Only love can compete with Time,
True, underlying love sublime,
For all the time I spent with you
Was loving glory, just for two,
I love you past, present and more
Love does not linger in before,
I loved you then, I love you still,
Love is the one thing,
Time can't kill.
