The street lights are blinding
I cannot sleep anymore
The noisy cars fly by with a bad exhust pipe
As I cough up the petrol fumes
The solitude that I have in this big city
Can't be cured with my pills
Like the opioid addicted punk rockers
On the corner shooting up
I am not satisfy with the euphoria my loneliness brings
Quietly I slip into it and never return
As no one misses me, the city moves on
LeeAnn, what you need is the peace and solitude of the mountains. In my opinion, NOBODY should have to live in big city. During the summer here, I spend almost every day in the mountains.
2) LeeAnn this is truly a masterful piece of writing. A poem, and poetess, par excellence, mon amie!
LeeAnn, you've so perfectly captured the pain and sorrow of loneliness. And so importantly, that no drug ever manufactured could ever ever alleviate such dreaded loneliness.

This wonderful poem resonates with me, LeeAnn. The effects of highly urbanized cities. A very straightforward write.
