Everything Comes To Light Poem by Gerald Opio

Everything Comes To Light

As the sun comes out,
every morning without fail.
So does everything that happens
under the sun, come to light.

Dawn is a sign;
That where there is darkness;
There must be light;
Darkness hides evil; but light exposes it.

A thief comes to steal;
In the wee hours of the night;
Not knowing that; all that happens under the sun,
Will come to light.

Promiscuous women elude their marital beds; during the night.
Just to evince their promiscuity;
In the dark, when the world is in deep slumber; not knowing;
That dawn is approaching; when everything shall come to light.

Evil waits for dusk to prep itself;
Absolutely ensnaring it's prey,
Through it's whims and enticement.
A firm grip it has on its victim.

But then, nothing happens under the sun; and it's hidden forever.
Troth shall always come to light,
irrespective of our efforts to conceal it.
To light, we shall conform to everlasting peace.

Light frees us from our guilty conscience;
The burdens we feel; attribute to the evil we do.
Confession by mouth unto the Lord with earnesty can do;
But repentance holds a great deal; leading to absolution.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Romans 3: 24-26 [24]and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. [25]God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— [26]he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
