from "While Passing Through"/Fall
Fall—but not fall—
few leaves have dropped or yellowed—
midday is still hot—
summer flowers still bloom—
there reason to feel hurried?
Fall—but not fall….There is a superb positive message in this poem. Nicely crafted using few words. Glen, I enjoyed very much reading your poem.10+
i'm glad you did, irfanulla. thank you for taking the time to read and comment. so many things can and do pull us from the present moment, and for me, at seventy, they're passing quickly already. be blessed! -glen
Have courage and stand. Like flower you bloom. Gentle breeze will motivate life. An excellent poem is beautifully penned...10
as always, i appreciate you reading and commenting on my poems, kumarmani. there was a moment, reported as it is in this poem, when i realized i was pushing ahead in my thinking past the present moment, rushing, so to speak, when time at this point in my life already seems to be going so quickly. -glen
Summer lingers We still feel it warm fingers Slipping aways As autumn delays

Excellent, nature never hurries. Man is machined by the calendar, but nature is a time-bender.
of course you're right, aniruddha—there's the weather, such as it is, and the strictures we try to put on it. and then there is our impatience when the weather seems out-of-kilter with year's-formed associations. thank you for reading and commenting. -glen
