Fallen Leaf Poem by Nosheen Irfan

Fallen Leaf

Rating: 4.9

Golden brown
Crinkled up
Edges torn
Or curled
Swishing along
The ground
At the bidding
Of the wind
How far will it go
How long will it roam?
Even a leaf will get tired
Of wandering
Wavering
What of man?

The finest extended metaphor poem in recent times. Brilliant verse, Nosheen!

'Even a leaf will get tired'. Strength or swiftness will not stop a man from falling or becoming absent in the present. Wonderful poem.

What of man? Even man will fall one day. Nicely written.

How long will it roam? How long will it go? The answers to these questions are limited dear poetess. I love this poem. My pleasure revisiting this outstanding poem.
