Phoning my family today
Simply to say: I Love You
Three little words
Packing a wallop
To mom and dad
Phone call to Heaven
They're smiling down at me
Guiding me as always
They're describing Heaven's beauty
Eyes swelling with tears of joy
Softly shouting: We Love You
And whispering: God Loves You
Words spoken from the heart
All around full circle
Breathing in love and peace
Breathing out left sadness
A Beautiful dedication. I hope you enjoy the love, care and warmth of this family day. Take care and have a nice weekend.
Very nice sentiment. I love your ending. It is poetic, wistful, and beautiful. Peace. Thanks for sharing.
Richard, This is a terrific work. You honour family, - your own and all families. There is an expression of joy, and a note of sadness. No matter what the circumstances, family endures. That's something most of us forget, even if at times, and the reminder serves to re-balance a vital sentiment. Great poem. Happy family day, Richard.
Family is all we got, M.J. And when they're gone, there is sadness. For things left unsaid and undone. I'm so happy that you think it's a great poem. Considering the subject matter.
Beautiful dedication on Family Day! We don't have it here in India! Family is the smallest but the most significant of the social units! One who has a happy family is a blessed being! I love the idea of making a phone call to your deceased parents in Heaven and exchanging good wishes! The poem overflows with the feelings of tender love and affection!
Thank you, Valsa, for giving me a little insight into India. And for your kind words, positive feedback and the 10. Your support and encouragement is most appreciated.
