Fantasized To Delude Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Fantasized To Delude

Bees have not only been,
The only creatures to have experienced...
A collapse of their colonies.

There has been a lack of discipline.
And a respect for honesty and truth,
For centuries.

Until...
A martyr named George Floyd.
Having his breath to breathe,
Seen squeezed publicly from his body.
By a cop with his knee,
Kept on Mister Floyd's neck.
As if given permission and authority to do it.

And here we are,
People claiming to be civilized.
Progressing forward to advance racism.
Ignorance to worship it.
With denial to accept and lived kept protected.
While following in lockstep,
Done to do with effective consciousness.
Producing a mass production of seduction,
That guarantees a collapsing of all colonies.
Yet expected by those wealthy and elite,
A collective effort to endeavor themselves...
To believe,
Independently they can survive.
Without people of diversity in their lives.
They have rewritten and tried denying to hide,
Throughout history.
If it wasn't for others colored of skin,
A greatness to be 'Great Again'...
For them alone will not be known or shown.

Although,
Fantasized to delude...
May in an alternate Universe be a possibility!
With lots of luck and new drugs yet discovered.
