Felices ter et amplius
Quos irrupta tenet Copula, nec malis
Divulsus querimoniis,
Suprema citius solvet amor die.
What's Female Beauty, but an Art divine,
Through which the Mind's all gentle Graces shine?
They like the Sun irradiate all between;
The Body charms, because the Mind is seen.
But does that beauty shines across when she ages or is it entangled with youth-hood? Beauty of the mind should come across even if one is aged. However, I loved the poetic imagination of the poet though our perspectives may differ.
It is a beautiful philosophical poem on female beauty with thrilling depiction. Captivating one. Thanks and congrats.
art divine—amen to that—i heartily agree. and it appears the author is not the type to be enamored with the physical aspect only. -gk
To me, the key line is: 'The Body charms, because the Mind is seen'. This poem too, like female beauty, is an art divine!
A great poem. Yeah, female beauty is is an art divine. Lovely.
