Final Convergence Poem by RAJ NANDY

Final Convergence

FINAL CONVERGENCE

In trying to reach the place where both
earth and sky meet,
I had encircled the globe twice over,
With my mission incomplete!
In trying to reach the oasis to quench
my growing thirst,
I found that I had been persuing only an
illusory mirage!
And when I set out to find that spot -
Where both the rail tracks appeared to
have converged,
The more I travelled ahead, more those
tracks diverged!
Thus Divergence appeared to be the only
prevailing thing,
And Convergence was just like an unrealised
dream!

Then finally one day I set out in earnst,
To seek the Lord, and to be blessed;
And travelled through many divergent
paths, with very little rest!
Offered my sincere prayers at the Church,
the Temple, the Mosque and the Synagogue;
Performing many penance and even getting
myself flogged!
Till I realised that all divergent paths did
finally converge,
Into that Divine One, they all did submerge!
So let us forget all our petty bickering, -
For in Him we move, live, and have our
entire being!

Till I realised that all divergent paths did finally converge, Into that Divine One, they all did submerge! ....yes this is the ultimate truth of life and world but humans have taken centuries to understand it but all in vain, we still fight on petty things and go according to our mean 'will', endlessly building walls after walls. Sir, you have a unique way of saying the truth and I like reading it...Thanks
