Finally... Poem by Sarvesh Kulkarni

Finally...

Rating: 4.8

Imbibe the abstractness from the universe,
And give it, your own concrete solidity.
Imbibe the obscurity of the voids around,
And give them hues
Of the colourless union of you and its emptiness.

In the sublimation of my soul,
Let me melt,
And the ashes spread to corners
Of the cosmos,
And haunt the world with its own image in me.

At dawn, let me greet the sun,
With its own incandescence in me.
And at night, in the fulfilling darkness,
Let me take everyone’s leave,
With the same immensity of the night…. in me.
The whisper of stars in the moonless delight,
A wrapt silence of the divine darkness,
The unquestioned love,
of the immutability of my verse,
the excitedness of the flower that blooms,
….and the lazy love of each closing petal….
Let all these slowly spread in my being,
As I move away from my own body,
Into the soft cushion….of that,
which is very much my own….

It has delved deep... A wonderful thing to put in words, and with such abandon of the feelings, It is as if your piece carries the fragile parts of you, of your thought. I liked the vulnerability I felt imagining this things happening to me. Your world must be a beautiful place to have this things for inspiration. Loved your piece. Merlin Mwaura.
