Your poem no.4 about Asheville, North Carolina is a well crafted and informative with great rhyme.
Great to know that you were spared from the wrath of Hurricane Helen, Bri. It was indeed, pretty scary! You are very lucky you live in the hills. Right now, Philippines, the northern part is hammered with four successive super typhoons (Signal no.4)
In vain poem is so deeply poignant and touching. I hope and pray nobody could experience this lowly life. Third World has a lot of them. A well expressed poem. I could feel the miserable life of the pauper.
As regards poem no.1, I haven't encountered a grosbeak. I hope someday I can see one specially the rose breastfed grosbeak. I just googled and I saw some pictures of this kind of bird. They are lovely!

5th Poem..... Glad to know you have two friends whose wives are Filipinas. A lot of Filipinas are married to US service men specially when the US military and naval bases are still operational in the Philippines. A well rhymed poem, Bri.
