When I leave this body and the poetry within me dies
I don’t care what happens to it
Put it in a giant plastic trash or lawn bag
Throw me in the bay to feed the fishes
Leave me for the bears and other animals in the woods
Food for the common good; life and death as it should be
When I leave this body and the poetry within me dies….
I’m alright with whatever happens
Because on paper the maggots are nothing more
Than my critics reproducing….
