The waitress was quite pretty;
in fact, a lovely sight.
My wife and I were 'on the town'
a recent Friday night.
'If I were young and single, '
I told that pretty girl,
'I'd ask for your phone number.'
This phrase caused her to whirl.
She stared at me in wonder,
befuddled by surprise.
She gawked in silent stupor
as my wife just rolled her eyes.
At last she gained composure;
her smile grew and grew.
'If I were old and senile,
then I'd give it to you! '
Who knows? Anything could happen. Thanks for visiting and commenting, Kelly.
Ha.... ha! Very clever repartee..... from the waitress! Did you grow giddy....! (Just for fun) . Quite humorous.......!
Thanks for the comment, Valsa. Always good to hear from you, dear friend.
I wonder what you would look like with rolled eyes? Thanks for the comment, Spock.
Thanks for the comment, Sir Bernard. (Do you think they will make you a saint?)
