Here we are, staring out across the ocean,
The cool breeze blows your hair in front of your face,
You look down, we laugh, you place your hair behind your ear,
I look down, and I smile, your hand is holding mine.
The beams of light catch the ocean, it glimmers, it’s blithe,
Reflecting sun catches your eyes and I watch them gleam,
So dark, mysterious, yet full of laughter,
I try just to imagine what you see in me.
I move close, you move close, it’s like a dance of hesitation,
Nervous laughter mixed with tears of joy,
Just when I think this moment can’t get any better,
I fall into the ocean, drown, and quickly wake up.
It seems just what I feel, when everything is perfect,
I get knocked off my feet and thrown into a sudden collapse,
Love can’t always be like a paramount movie,
But for this love, I will always fight.
I’ll run to find you, I hide like ghosts
To escape the doubters, the thrill of the unseen,
I know you’re out there, you’re not just an illusion,
My will to sustain, I will run to hold you.
To the ends of the Earth, to the damned underworld,
To the tops of mountains, to the depths of your deepened heart…
So everyday, I begin like a journey,
A free formed fight for the heart of a free spirit,
It’s a test, it’s unspoken, the proximity between us
Can be so close when you’re so far away.
I must remember that it’s not a dream, it’s reality,
It hits hard, it fights back, it gives all that you put in,
And I’ll give it all to see those eyes glimmer again,
There we’ll be, there we’ll be, again.
No regrets, no knock outs,
No giving in to the sound and the darkness about,
No sorrow, no more pain,
Here we are, no regrets.
No regrets,
No regrets,
No regrets… (Fighting forever to find this love)
