As long as there are Poets,
The World will be okay,
There will be dreams anointed,
That will come true someday,
And Nature will be cared for,
Not just become hearsay,
And beauty will be worshiped,
In an unusual way.
As long as there are Poets,
We'll have a place to dream,
A little holy corner,
Of ideals that are supreme,
And Love will always flourish,
In it's Romantic way,
And we will make Tomorrow,
Much better than Today.
Would love to be around when the poet's dreams come true as you stated in your poem. I think it would be heaven here on earth, don't you? Someday tomorrow will be better than today! Another gem! RoseAnn

I am delighted with this poem. Just the linking of poets and dreamers is satisfying because the two names are related: we are all poets when we dream, both night-dreams and day-dreams; and dreamers are just one step from poets themselves. I liked the line AND BEAUTY WILL BE WORSHIPED / IN AN UNUSUAL WAY. Just that single word UNUSUAL sets off a train of possibilities in the poet/dreamer's relationship with what is beautiful. And the phrase A LITTLE HOLY CORNER is an understated expression of the poet's spiritual practice. Your poem expresses the foundation of poetry, above it is the House of Poems in all their variety - sonnets, haiku, song lyrics, limericks, meditations, etc. But your poem expresses the commitment that makes such various poems possible. I for one am going to spend part of my day in that HOLY CORNER.
