Forgiven Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Forgiven

Rating: 5.0

I hate
That you
Hate me
And fear
Your wrongness

I have faith in God
Trust humanity
To acts of kindness
Hope your cruelty
Will be forgiven

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

To Forgive with an authority that "You erred, still I forgive you. But I remember your act" is no forgiveness at all.

Great are those who can forgive at once and forgot the evilness committed. To some, forgiveness, has its own time and comes in due time.

Rose Marie, Pope John Paul II had forgiven the person who had attempted to assassinate him. But he had always remembered that act. Because that's the nature of the mind. The heart forgives. The mind remembers.

Forgiveness is an attribute of the strong, not the weak. An insightful piece nicely put together. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched, Richard.
