Forms (A Serious Side) Poem by David Harris

Forms (A Serious Side)

Rating: 5.0

Just think of all the paper
that is used to create a form.
Think of all the trees
that have to be cut down,
And all the rainforests
that disappear, each year.
So when you get another form to fill in.
Just remind the sender
of all the wildlife they destroy
and ask when they are planting more trees.
Because this form has taken
just one too many trees
from our wonderful world.

Well put David and I guess I'm an offender for I send many cards and still write 'real' letters and every poem in a notebook first..can't fit it all in my hands, they're too small... ~~~marci. :) x~~

David, it is a sad fact, but true...our once green world is turning brown. Having watched Live Earth...i became even more aware. The rainforests are so necessary...they're is medicine in them...and the trees that made Washington State The evergreen state are disappearing by leaps and bounds...we plant trees here, not cut them down. Can you imagine if everyone here who has posted a poem could plant at least one tree a year, what help that could be. Global Warming is a fact...I love it when you write about things that make us think and more aware A Gem! Theo :)

Ah, but if I respont, I have to use another piece of paper AND a new envelope, thus causing more trees to fall...........so is it worth it? Our great statesman, Benjamin Franklin said this: A fool, convinced against his will...is of the same opinion still. Wise man, and a wise poem too, to remind us of the useless waste of our trees. Thanks, Dave!
