Freedom Day, a day to celebrate
When chains were broken, when we became great
A time when shackles fell to the ground
And we were no longer bound
We remember those who fought and bled
Those who died so freedom could spread
Their courage and sacrifice we can't forget
As we cherish our liberties we now get
Freedom Day, a time to reflect
On the battles fought to protect
The values and rights we hold dear
That make our existence crystal clear
A day to stand tall, to speak our mind
To be true to ourselves, to be kind
For in freedom, we find our voice
And in that voice, we can rejoice
So let us celebrate this day with pride
And in our hearts, let freedom abide
For it is the foundation of our nation
And the root of our inspiration.
