Freedom Of A Dewdrop Poem by Abhay Vignesh Liginlal

Freedom Of A Dewdrop

Rating: 5.0

Until now I have felt love only once
Ever since my life on earth has been a fantasy,
My remaining days have become sublime with just this thought
My dreams are all replete with just this hope
My love becomes sweeter as each day stands apart
But why do I always feel
That I have been seeing you again & again, life after life;

Although the sun and the moon are estranged
There is always a glimmer of hope before dusk,
My many lives about just this love are perhaps numberless now
In every saga lovers are united at least at death,
The story of my love is scattered in the pages of my lives
The leaves and the sky are all filled with colours of just this love,
My world is my own creation
This freedom is god’s gift to a dewdrop;

The sky is filled with the light of my love in this world
While through the musical night comes a melody
Which lulls me into a sleep of fulfillment
While I wake up again and again to make my dreams real,
After centuries another poet will keep wandering on this shore
The wind will awaken a new surge of feelings in him,
Every emotion is a pact made in our past lives
What will that feeling be like for real,
I will never know that like my previous self
For this freedom is god’s gift to a dewdrop.
