people, whole families, young and old
Gather round tasting dishes of rare delicacies
Watch the Spring Festival Gala on
The first month of the Lunar year -
Neighbors, relatives, friends
Pay New Year calls in respect
Sample beautiful meat and fish dishes
Watch lion dances -
Fragrance of flowers
Fills the air
People in fine dress
stroll the riverbank
Enjoying the beauty of mountains
Filled with happiness -
Gentle breezes brush lightly
Against the tops of lotus
Red cloth dazzles
Boats on the lake
All feels like poetic elegance
