Glowing Star Poem by Sumit Ganguly

Glowing Star

Rating: 5.0

So long our own star shines,
brighter stars do not dazzle our eyes.
Only in darkness we look up
and seek light of stars, meteors, pulsars.

Like all goals, heavenly bodies shine far off,
we need special implements and skill
to locate and feel their presence,
and to become 'Nova', at least once in life.

Wonderful poem and a really nice read. Starscapes are wondrous things to look at and imagine all that history in your sight.

I often wonder which stars still exist. All we see is their past history. But the Sun is only 8 minutes in the past! both Novas and Nebulae are spectacular by telescope. It's a fascinating Science. Good poem, Sumit.
