Gods Women Poem by louis rams

Gods Women

GOD created the universe, then the earth and upon
The earth he put creatures that could walk the earth
And some that could fly. Then he decided to create
Man who could overcome all animals because of his strength.
He then realized that all he created was of male dominance
And although he felt pride in his creation of man, he saw
That man was lonely, so he took a rib from man and created women,
Feeling good about his creation of man, he felt that women was
His prize creation.
Man could fight the seen, but women could fight the seen and unseen
And give birth to life. He gave them nine months to see and feel
The joys and pains that come with it.
He gave her the strength to bare the pains of creating and at times
Of losing the child that they carried who kicked and moved around
In their stomachs.
You see GOD made them from clay to be molded as he saw fit
And as a rough diamond to be cut and shaped into exceptional beauty.
Soft as clay, yet tough as a diamond then made her to wear different hats
As a mother, aunt, sister, cousin, grandmother, wife, housekeeper, cook
Maid, coworker head of household and the list goes on and on.
Yet all she asks in return is to be loved, respected and thanked for all they do.
If GOD had not made women there would be no life as we know it.
No Mother Mary, no Jesus Christ and of course none of us.
Blessed are the women for they are his prize creation.
