a type of squirrel
stays below ground from the nuts
mostly human kinds
You have beautifully introduced a type of squirrel basing upon your natural perception. This poem is very interestingly and excellently penned...10
Thank you so much, Kumarmani. This particular squirrel was just right for this purpose.
(CONT.) B - to MyPoemList. i think a mixture of haiku and senryu., also known as a 'human haiku'. grook? A grook (gruk in Danish) is a form of short aphoristic poem or rhyming aphorism ..whatever an aphorism is! ! bri (: p.s. nut ...U.S. slang for crazy or foolish
And so much more slang does come to mind! Thank you so much, Bri. We are fellow champions of the lowly (misunderstood?) groundhog. I do like your observation about the 'human haiku.'
A - how WEIRD IS THIS? ? ? ! ! ! I JUST SENT you a message mentioning Groudhog Day, in response to your Thanksgiving wish, and.....NOW....i see this poem title! ! ! ! i would have been drawn to Groundhog title anyway, but am even more so now! ! Groundhogs (Marmota monax) are a type of rodent known as a marmot, and marmots are closely related to squirrels. (CONT.)
I can't blame the poor creature lol. Humans can be more beastly than beasts themselves sometimes. A great punch of humor here! ~
Thanks so much. I agree about how beastly we can be....I often wonder if that nature can be muted or tempered with humour?
Three lines to start the day, it is surely going to be a great day, thanks for the laugh'
So good to hear I could get your day off to a good start. Thanks so much, Loke.

Good humour and use of double meaning. Until this morning I didn't believe that groundout Day was real. I believed it was only from the movie until The Crow educated me.
