Guardian Angel - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

You sent me to seventh heaven
In a kiss under mistletoe
When we solvated two lips
And made a memory that December
Our last Christmas kiss
Where in your final days of cancer
I saw our immortality
A love that will transcend the inescapable
To lift me each passing day
When you will fly to me from the heavens
And slip into my thoughts
To metastasize my existence
With your blissful memory

What a nice poem! I like how you take words with a 'negative' connotation and make them positive. A loving tribute. (Report) Reply
